Ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare means building health centers where they are most needed and providing services regardless of ability to pay. In many areas, there are no physicians or dentists who accept Medical Assistance or offer an income based sliding-fee. We continually work closely with federal and state Departments of Health to identify arear where there is still a great need.
Since 1984, the Primary Health Network (PHN) has been building and maintaining health centers, and has grown into the largest community health center in Pennsylvania. To date, there are over 35 (PHN) facilities throughout Western PA and Eastern OH, all of which are strategically placed to ensure that the medically underserved had access to medical, specialty, dental and behavioral health servics.
Another valuable part of the Foundation is our Facilities Department which is responsible for the general up keep of all Primary Health Network/Charitable Foundation locations in order to assure that our patients and employees are safe on a daily basis.
This department closely oversees the construction and maintenance of all our facilities. The upgrades and/or changes are done with as little impact as possible to patient care.
Developing new facilities and making sure that the existing ones are well-equipped and well-maintained is an ongoing process.
